Project Overview
As a Product Designer, I created a scalable and customizable Notice & Consent Micro Front-End (MFE) management tool to ensure compliance with global data protection laws across 250+ locations and languages. The solution simplified how internal admins manage and create Notice and Consent requirements, reducing manual effort by 30% and improving efficiency.
Problem
Privacy team didn’t have an automated tool to manage changes on data collection pages across company’s ecosystems.
Risk of non-compliance with global data protection laws. They need to change it quickly.
50% loss of Marketing Leads. Decentralized marketing database.
Solution
Designed an MFE (Micro Front-End) tool that standardizes N&C across 550+ pages, allowing rapid and efficient regulatory updates.
Replaced manual workflows with a secure tool that enabled storage, customization of content, and permission controls for better governance.
Co-Creating with Stakeholders and Developers
"Notice and consent" is a fundamental concept in data privacy, It essentially means informing individuals about an organization's data practices and then obtaining their permission before collecting and using their personal information.
Our specialist users were also our stakeholders, which fostered a close and crucial relationship for the project’s success. This collaboration allowed us to deeply understand their pain points and the specific needs of the privacy team. From our initial research, we uncovered the following insights:

Our specialist users were also our stakeholders, which fostered a close and crucial relationship for the project’s success. This collaboration allowed us to deeply understand their pain points and the specific needs of the privacy team. From our initial research, we uncovered the following insights:
Manual and
overloaded process
If a requirement changes in a country, users must update it quickly, but the workflow involves too many teams and bureaucratic hurdles.
Poor communication
between teams
Poor communication forced users to contact several teams for a single update, leading to delays that could expose the company to legal risks.
Inefficient,
Non-Integrated Tools
Legacy tools were outdated and disconnected, creating major obstacles to digitalization and automation.
A streamlined and integrated user journey
After identifying the stakeholders’ pain points through extensive discussions and workshops, we realized the need to design a unified and fully integrated journey, ensuring that no touchpoint was left outside the scope of our privacy management team. To achieve this, we developed three new tools and redesigned an existing one, creating a cohesive ecosystem that simplifies and strengthens the overall experience for both users and systems, fully integrated into one flow.

Usability Test
I conducted usability tests with six subject-matter experts. While the overall experience was seamless, my team and I identified difficulties with the terminology used in button labels and copy. Based on these insights, we decided to:
Focus our adjustments on copywriting and button placement, which had a direct impact on clarity and task completion. We also introduced tooltips and additional step-by-step explanations to guide users through the journey.
Highlight the need for clear documentation and training materials to reduce the learning curve, particularly for the privacy team.
Designers as Facilitators
Design team facilitated workshops and fostered collaborative communication throughout the project lifecycle. One of my main challenge was aligning the business and development teams, who needed to make critical decisions together.
